Supply Chain Management covers a number of disciplines and occupations in the fields of procurement, logistics and sales. In order for any organisation or company to have an efficient and cost effective supply chain require strategic and tactical planning and coordination across the fields of procurement, logistics and sales.
Qualified Supply Chain Managers are critical to the on-going performance of South Africa as an international player in the world economy and must therefore be equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to remain compliant with national and international standards.
- NQF Level 4 qualification with Mathematical Literacy and at least 2 years assessed experience.
Or - A relevant NQF Level 5 qualification.

- Management of Major Programmes and Projects, Level 6, 15 Credits.

2.Practical Skill Modules
- Translate the Supply Chain, Priorities, Objectives and Targets into Operational Plans and Performance Objectives, Level 6, 14 Credits.
- Align Supply Chain Operational Schedules with Associated Operational Plans and Performance Objectives, Level 6, 10 Credits.
- Develop a Risk Management Strategy, Level 6, 8 Credits.
- Develop Procedures for the Implementation of Operational Plans, Level 6, 12 Credits.
- Determine Contract Specifications and Service Level Agreements, Level 5, 6 Credits.
- Develop Criteria to Monitor Implementation of Operational Plans against Supply Chain Strategy, Level 6, 9 Credits.
- Develop Criteria and Evaluate Operational Scheduling Implementation Compliance, Level 6, 9 Credits.

Integrated Assessment
Integrated Formative Assessment
The skills development provider will use the curriculum to guide them on the stipulated internal assessment criteria and weighting. They will also apply the scope of practical skills and applied knowledge as stipulated by the internal assessment criteria. This formative assessment leads to entrance into the integrated external summative assessment.
Integrated Summative Assessment
An external integrated summative assessment, conducted through the relevant Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) Assessment Quality Partner is required for the issuing of this qualification. The external integrated summative assessment will focus on the Exit Level Outcomes and Associated Assessment Criteria.
